A JOURNEY TO SELF LOVE

Self love

Sometimes we are happy, sometimes we are low, sometimes we just want to sit alone and think about life, sometimes we feel our life has no meaning.

It happens a lo to all of us. Isn’t it?

But If we think about it, it is either because the way we feel depends on others or maybe we are not sure about the way our life is heading.

Well, in my case it was both.

When we love something or someone, we unconsciously develop a kind of attachment and a sense of insecurity. And when that someone is no longer with us, we feel incomplete.

And that’s the moment when we start to just breath instead to live. Our self esteem goes down and down in your eyes.

But why do we feel like this?

We feel like this because we were so much attached to that person that we forgot to take care of ourselves.

Whenever I used to share such things with my friends, they always told me “Don’t get too attached”. And then I used to find out ways of not getting attached.

It took a lot of time for me to realize that there is no way of not getting too attached.

We shared our insecurities with them, we promised forever, we imagined the future, we bought a new home in our imagination, and we prayed that it all comes true.

How can one expect us to not get attached?

When we were with them, we felt an ecstatic connection and talking about the connection, then that connection was supposed to be the purest one.

Not getting attached here, will be so inhumane thing.

But where do we go wrong?

When we find someone, we kind of give them everything. But what about us?

What about the care, self-applauds, and the warmth we need?

Its you, who is going to be with you forever.

Okay, call it self-obsession. But it is what is needed to be strong and to realize our worth

And if we don’t love ourselves how can we expect someone else to love what we don't love?

Happiness starts from within. Be content with self and then see how your perspective changes towards life.

Remember, the moment you start loving yourself, is the moment you get a hold of your life.

  2. To be honest, I read this while I was drinking coffee that I made. And to my surprise, the coffee was particularly soothing, warm, and aromatic today. And let me tell you, I am not Pro at making coffee. I think it's this article that did the trick.
It also made me think that the people who say 'Don't get too attached' are the one who do not understand the fundamentals of love.
It is not something that is given to us by someone. It is something that you build scratch with someone.
So saying don't get too attached in a relationship is similar to saying don't get too attached to your kids.
Now you can see how thought provoking article it is.
Thank you so kuch for this beautiful insight.
